Quentin Delion

Cabinetmaker and designer based in Bidart, Basque Country, I dedicate my know-how to the creation of contemporary furniture and objects in wood. For twenty years, my work has explored the relationship between the craft gesture, the precision of contemporary technologies, and the place objects hold in everyday life.
 

My Atelier - Studio is a space for making and research, where furniture is conceived with an ethical, sustainable approach, rooted in the Basque territory.
 

My poïetics rest on the mastery of each stage, from the first sketch to the complexity of joinery and finishing. This dual culture of design and cabinetmaking allows me to bridge fine craftsmanship and small-scale, reasoned local production, drawing on natural materials, reclaimed wood or timber from managed forests. My work speaks to those who seek a calm, committed and poetic design, where species such as oak, ash or plane tree dialogue with the precision of a contemporary line and the presence of living matter.
 

Today, my practice is expanding. Alongside bespoke furniture, I work with architects, brands and makers on the development of their concepts, the realisation of complex prototypes, and the production of small object series.
