Luminaire

AON is born from the meeting of two practices: woodturning and additive manufacturing.

The base is turned from solid wood in Bidart, Basque Country, in black lacquered ash or oiled natural beech depending on the version. The lampshade is printed in PLA by PRZ, a responsible 3D design studio based in Anglet, whose local production approach naturally complements that of the wood. Two techniques, two materials, one object.

The PLA texture reveals itself in light. The printing lines, visible up close, become the pattern. What additive manufacturing leaves as a trace becomes here an aesthetic choice.

AON is available to order in two formats: table lamp and floor lamp, in black ash or natural beech finish. A design luminaire conceived and produced by Quentin Delion.
