Between chair and armchair

GOWA was born from a precise brief: several armchairs for the waiting room of a law firm. Durability, comfort, welcoming silhouette — three constraints that guided every design decision.

The formal approach is one of continuity. The backrest describes a half-circle that becomes an armrest, without any break in line. An organic geometry that softens the structure without weakening its presence. Solid wood answers this requirement: a material that lives, that patinas, and that holds over time.

GOWA was then developed according to projects and clients — all-wood structure, metal base, upholstered seat. Osteopathy practices, private interiors, professional spaces. Each commission produced its own version. The upholstered finishes were made by upholsterer Sonia Laudet, whose work with textiles naturally complements that of the wood.

GOWA is a solid wood chair, drawn, designed and made by Quentin Delion, cabinetmaker and designer in Bidart, Basque Country. The model is no longer in direct production. It is available for edition.
